Our Reception staff stands ready to help with all your pet care needs!
Our ICU treatment room is capable of accommodating as many as 12 patients in the critical
observation area with available monitoring equipment, central oxygen and 4 patient treatment
stations.

Additional intermediate care wards provide hospitalization and nursing capabilities for our less
critical patients.

Our Hospital also maintains an isolation ward for patients with contagious diseases to protect all our
patients from exposure.
The surgical suite at St. Francis is equipped with 2 fully adjustable surgical stations, central
oxygen, surgical suction, adjustable lighting and stat pharmacy .
During surgical procedures, we have equipment to monitor blood pressure, heart rate, blood
oxygen saturation and temperature.
All dental procedures are performed in the treatment area.  When a pet comes
in for a routine dental, the teeth are cleaned using an ultrasonic scaler and
curette, the teeth and gums are then inspected for any problems.  All teeth are
polished with a prophy cup and polishing paste, a floride treatment and
chlorhexadine rinse are applied, and a sealant is applied (Oravet).
Ultrasound images provide valuable diagnostic images that help determine the cause of many pet
illnesses.
Evaluation of blood and tissue samples under a
microscope often provides useful diagnostic
information.

Routine examination of fecal material under the
microscope is performed to screen for intestinal
parasites.
